The Sig Sauer P320 is produced by SIG Sauer Inc., which is headquartered in Newington. The contract provides for an initial purchase of 7,000 pistols and holsters, with options for up to 9,500 additional pistols and holsters. The Pentagon had previously selected the P320 for the U.S. military in 2017. The pistols will be utilized by Canadian Armed Forces personnel in all types of operating environments and under a range of conditions.
