Screening of “Billie Blue” and Q&A with the director, Mariloup Wolfe

The movie is Adapted from the novel COEUR DE SLUSH by Sarah-Maude Beauchesne. The film director, Mariloup Wolfe, will be present to introduce the film and participate in a Q&A session afterwards.

This event is sponsored by the Government of Québec, as part of Francophonie DC Cultural Festival 2024 which spotlights the music, art, literature, film, cuisine, and customs of French-speaking countries and regions from across the globe.

The movie will be screened in French with English subtitles.

Program:

6-7pm: Doors open at 6pm with a free tasting of blue raspberry slush, as seen in the film!

6:30pm: Screening begins

8:30pm: Q&A moderated by Sarah Diligenti (Executive Director of the Alliance Francaise of Washington DC) with the director, Mariloup Wolfe

9pm: Final Remarks

SYNOPSIS:

In this romantic comedy, dive into summer with 16 year-old Billie, a water park lifeguard, along with her two best friends and perfect older sister. Billie’s summer is quickly turned upside down when she falls in love with a charming cycling champion.
