Florida’s power systems have been badly hit by Hurricane Irma. In response to a request for assistance from U.S. companies, hundreds of Canadian employees from various Canadian electrical companies headed South to provide help with their expertise. Support equipment is also being sent.
Canadian crews are expecting to be on the ground for the next two to three weeks, depending on the speed of repairs.
